SCHOOL COUNCIL
What is School Council?
The school council works to make improvements to the school and the way we do things at Greenfield & Pulloxhill Academy. We look around for things that could be better and discuss what to do in our meetings. The school councillors get a chance to share their ideas and then we vote on the best and start working on them. We also help out with carrying out charitable events.
Our School Council
School Council led by Miss Morgan
Each year children are selected by their peers as to who they think would be good representatives for our school council. Two representatives are chosen from each class. Through the process of electing candidates, the children may be asked to conduct a speech or application on why they want to be a school councillor, and what they intent to do.
NEWS 2024-205
Shine Bright Wear Bright - Tuesday 4th February 2025
Mental health and well-being is extremely important to our school and we understand the importance of children's mental health. We strive to give our children the skills to cope with different emotions and understand them, so supporting CHUMS with their Shine Bright Wear Bright campaign was a natural choice for our children. Everybody wore beautifully bright colours and donated to the cause, and there was a special assembly in school. We also offered a coffee and biscuit morning to our parents and the wider community, giving people chance to drop in and have a friendly chat. We raised £190.00.
Children in Need - Friday 15th November 2024
School Council raised money for Children in Need by wearing non-uniform and raised £167.00.
MacMillan Coffee Morning - Friday 27th September 2024
We were delighted to see so many of you at our MacMillan Coffee Morning!
Some of the children from our School Council did an amazing job of running the event.
Many thanks for everybody who donated to this worthwhile cause. We raised an impressive £321.61.
